Donate Now to Support Local Conservation

Your donation supports our work to restore habitat, monitor wildlife, conduct research, and provide environmental education throughout the Santa Monica Mountains and surrounding areas. Less than 35% of our annual operating budget comes from County property tax revenue. The remainder of our budget comes from competitively-sought grants, contracts, and donations.

Your cash donations help to further the mission of the RCDSMM and can be general or targeted toward a specific project or program. General donations are used to support district outreach programs, provide technical information to the public, plan and implement on-the-ground conservation projects, and much more.

The RCDSMM can receive tax deductible donations under Internal Revenue Service Code Section 170 (b) and 170 (c) (1). This section says that contributions to a governmental entity are deductible. The RCD may accept all forms of contributions including, but not limited to, gifts, property, cash, stocks and securities.
